Bobbie
Morris, OTR/L, CHT, Director

Bobbie
Morris is the founder and owner of the Main Line
Hand Center. She is a graduate of Marymount/Fordham
University and University of Pennsylvania with a
degree in Biology and Occupational Therapy. Bobbie
has over 25 years of experience in occupational
therapy and specifically, hand rehabilitation. Her
career highlights include: development of Work
Hardening programs
in 1973, a hand therapy program at Bryn Mawr Hospital in 1975 and
a hand therapy program at Paoli Memorial |

Hospital
in 1989. She has been a Certified Hand Therapist since
1992.
She is an active member in American Society of Hand
therapy (ASHT), American Academy of Hand Surgery (AAHS)
and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Bobbie has published numerous peer review articles
in journals on various treatment and post-operative
protocols, as well as guidelines for topics like hand and
wrist fractures and wrist and finger tendonitis.
Bobbie was honored to win the 2007 International
Vargas Award given by the AAHS. This award is given
annually to a hand therapist who has demonstrated
excellence in the profession as a clinician and an
advocate of hand therapy and surgery
internationally. As part of the Vargas Award, Bobbie
was asked to co-lead a series of
lectures to surgeons and therapists in Sofia,
Bulgaria. Bobbie has also traveled to India and
Vietnam as part of a surgical team that services the
catastrophic injuries associated with burns to the
faces and hands of children and young woman. |

Among her colleagues she is known for her expertise
in handling complex injuries to the elbow, wrist and
hand, either post-operative, traumatic or overuse. |
|
She enjoys going into the community to speak to
groups about prevention and care of hands to
prevent injuries in sports, avocationally and
vocationally. |

Teri Speakman, OTR/L, CHT
|
|
 |
Teri
graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1994 with a
degree in Occupational Therapy. Her first position
was with a national rehabilitation company as a
traveler. She traveled to many states to re-start
occupational therapy programs, or to assist in
rapidly growing programs. Since then, she has
worked primarily in teaching facilities, including
the Philadelphia Hand Center, Thomas Jefferson
University Hospital, and Shriners Hospital for
Children. She earned her Hand Therapy Certification
in 2003. |

Teri has had the opportunity
to co-author a chapter in one of the most
prestigious hand therapy texts. She has lectured on
a national level, and has been a guest lecturer at
several of Philadelphia’s Occupational Therapy
programs. While at Shriners Hospital, she assisted
in the development and implementation of a
multi-centered study on Brachial Plexus Palsy.

Teri has been at Main Line Hand Center since it’s inception in 2002.
She is the senior therapist and educational
coordinator for the centers. Her areas of expertise
include the pediatric upper extremity, traumatic
upper extremity injuries and wound care. |
Sue
Blackmore, MS OTR/L, CHT

Sue has
over 25 years of experience in hand therapy. She is
a member of the editorial board and an issue editor
for the Journal of Hand Therapy. She is an
accomplished author of subjects related to hand
therapy and has presented both nationally and
internationally. Sue is involved on a national
level with the American Society of Hand therapists.
She is active in research related to hand therapy
and has participated in several oversea surgical
mission trips. |
Lynne D'Entremont, LPT

Lynne is
a licensed Physical Therapist who graduated from the
University of Pennsylvania. Lynne has over 25 years
of experience with outpatients treating both upper
and lower extremity musculo-skeletal injuries. Lynne
comes to Main Line Hand Center (MLHC) from Paoli Memorial Hospital, where
she spent most of her time practicing physical
therapy. In 2004, she joined the MLHC and has
been a great asset with her expertise in neck and
shoulder problems. She is respected by her peers for
her holistic and thorough approach to patient care.
Lynne utilizes a |
|
primarily manual approach. Her expertise is with the patient
that has multiple diagnoses and difficult pain
syndromes associated with upper extremity issues. |
Ashleigh Voltz, OTR/L
|
 |
Ashleigh jointed the Main Line Hand Center staff in 2008. She attended the University of Delaware for her undergraduate degree, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. She then pursued her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Ashleigh began her career working at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD in the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury, treating patients of all ages with neurological conditions and significant upper extremity involvement.
The activity-based |

restorative therapy program, headed by Dr. John McDonald, one of the lead physicians who worked with Christopher Reeve during his recovery, focused on using functional electrical stimulation to facilitate neuromuscular regeneration, enabling patients to gain greater use of their upper extremities. After leaving Baltimore in early 2008, Ashleigh joined the therapy team at Duke University Hospital, working primarily in the hospital’s acute care setting with some time spent in Duke’s hand center. Since returning to the northeast, she has been working toward her hand therapy certification and is now certified in Graston Technique, an instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization technique to assist with managing patient’s scar tissue, edema and soft tissue restrictions.
